A split tooth has to be extracted, and an implant placed immediately into the empty socket with a temporary crown on top. Four months later, the socket has healed beautifully.   A new style ceramic post is fitted to ensure no dark shadow from metal under the gum.   A porcelain fused metal crown is fitted to match the adjacent front tooth, and restores the smile.
